Secure Customer Authentication (SCA)

 

To comply with applicable regulatory requirements and ensure maximum account security, we apply Secure Customer Authentication (SCA) when you access or perform key actions via our mobile and web platforms (e.g. MiWallet, QRPay, mPay).

 

moneyIN uses modern SCA tools, including device-based biometric authentication. Biometric data used for authentication remains local to your device and is not collected or stored by moneyIN or any third-party provider.

Our services are available to users in selected jurisdictions only. The distribution of content and documents on this website may be restricted by law in certain countries.

 

All services provided by moneyIN are subject to applicable laws of the country where our licences are held. If you are accessing our services from outside Canada or another licensed jurisdiction, you confirm and agree that:

Common Types of Fraud

 

✅ Authorised Push Payment (APP) Fraud

 

When a user is tricked into sending funds to a fraudster posing as a trusted party. Always verify the recipient through a trusted channel before making urgent payments.

 

✅ Account Takeover

 

Criminals use phishing or social engineering to gain access to your account and funds. Use multi-factor authentication and strong passwords to stay secure.

 

✅ Cyber Fraud

 

Includes phishing, identity theft, malware, and fake websites. Keep your devices updated and never click suspicious links.

 

✅ CEO Email Fraud

 

Scammers impersonate executives to request urgent fund transfers. Verify all such requests verbally or through a known channel.
